Delphic Oracle For Mac Software
Delphic Oracle, the Terran Atlas and Zodiacal Releasing all now have native mac versions available so there's no need for Windows emulation software unless you want to run Timaeus or Delphic Oracle WL. For previous versions, see below... Because of the high-end graphics in Delphic Oracle XPF, you'll want a fairly new machine with about 8 GB ram and a fast graphics card (2048 MB recommended) to really be happy. The mac installers are really simple using a package distribution system that will install your application to the /Applications folder (in Finder). Support files can be located under:
Because of the high-end graphics in Delphic Oracle XPF, you'll want a fairly new machine with about 8 GB ram and a fast graphics card (2048 MB recommended) to really be happy. The system requirements below are for previous versions of Delphic Oracle (8 or earlier) and the WL version and other software. Delphic Oracle WL will run fine on just about any machine built within the last decade.
Delphic Oracle software is based upon the translations of historical astrological texts from the Hellenistic era through Medieval, Renaissance and up to the early Modern era and includes various techniques from such ancient authors as Vettius Valens, Antiochus, Hephastio, Dorotheus, Porphyry, Rhetorius, Critodemus, Firmicus Maternus, Ptolemy, Masha-Allah, Ibn Ezra, Bonatti, Regiomontanus, Lilly, Placidus and many others. The author (Curtis Manwaring) has worked with scholars in the field such as Robert Schmidt, Benjamin Dykes, PhD and others to develop software that is true to the intents of the original astrologers of antiquity for the past 20 years and was involved in the Hellenistic field from the beginning of the translation effort known as Project Hindsight. Hank Friedman writing for the Mountain Astrologer has called Delphic Oracle "the gold standard of Traditional Astrology programs, far and away more powerful and better designed than any other software."
Delphic Oracle has been designed in two different frameworks: XPF (Cross Platform) and WL (Windows Library). The Cross Platform version runs on both Windows and macOS, and has superior graphics. Delphic Oracle WL is a less expensive alternative. These versions are explained below with a software feature matrix to help you understand the differences between Delphic Oracle XPF, Delphic Oracle WL and Timaeus Pro. The links in the left-most column describe each software section in more detail. A green checkmark under the program column indicates availability of that item in the program.
Delphi is a general-purpose programming language and a software product that uses the Delphi dialect of the Object Pascal programming language and provides an integrated development environment (IDE) for rapid application development of desktop, mobile, web, and console software, currently developed and maintained by Embarcadero Technologies.
To better support development for Microsoft Windows and interoperate with code developed with other software development tools, Delphi supports independent interfaces of Component Object Model (COM) with reference counted class implementations, and support for many third-party components. Interface implementations can be delegated to fields or properties of classes. Message handlers are implemented by tagging a method of a class with the integer constant of the message to handle.

I also faced the same problem but I resolved the issue by starting the TNS listener in control panel -> administrative tools -> services ->oracle TNS listener start.I am using windows Xp and Toad to connect to Oracle.
I recommend this book to learn about product development from a software engineer and designer who had worked on various important products in Apple such as Safari browser and iPhone. Below are my key takeaways from the books:
